"Newly decorated, atmospheric and well equipped apartment in a traditional style farmhouse/chalet. The owner lives on the floor below. The apartment was kept very warm with floor heating (controlled centrally by the owners) with temps outside dropping to minus 9. Great views over Samoens but not far from centre. We had our own transport, prob quite doable without. The house is surrounded by large pleasant grounds with a hotel and restaurant next door (although we didn’t eat there). The kitchen is well kitted out and has everything needed for self catering."

"There was a bit of confusion over the 2 deposits needed. It transpired on arrival that this was payable in cash rather pre-authorised on a credit card. We were also asked to pay a cleaning deposit but this worked more like a cleaning fee unless you carry out a deep clean and return the apartment spotless. I have no problem with being charged a cleaning fee (normal with Airbnb, less usual on booking.com) but would have preferred if it had been charged at the time of booking for clarity. Just my opinion, others may prefer the current arrangement with a deposit (and in all fairness we did get 30% back ). Maybe a cleaning deposit is the normal way in France when renting an apartment, I would not know as this was a first for us. Not a dealbreaker though."

"Le fait que la piscine extérieure ne soit pas ouverte un 21 juin avec 32°. Idem pour le sauna après une bonne randonnée. Nous avions notamment choisi cet appartement pour ces prestations."
